Welcome Arriving Refugees: Drop Off Household Items and Make Greeting Cards

Advance registration is closed for Community Mitzvah Day. Walk-ins are welcome. See you on Sunday!

Come drop off items that refugees will need when they move into apartments. These items will be donated to HIAS-PA.

We will also have an all-ages activity: making greeting cards in different languages to welcome arriving refugee families.

Please bring your items to the library on Sunday (between 9:00 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.) and stay for our card-making activity.

List of items being collected:

• 3 gallon buckets
• Dish soap
• All purpose cleaner (no bleach products)
• Laundry detergent (no bleach products)
• Fire extinguishers
• Smoke detectors
• 13 gallon kitchen trash cans
• Pillows (new only)
• Twin sheets (new or gently used- no stains)
• Full sheets (new or gently used- no stains)
• Twin or full comforters  (new or gently used- no stains)
• Flashlights (new or gently used, with batteries)
• Gift cards to Target, Walmart and Dollar Tree in any amount
