Food, Smiles and Mitzvot

Join us at the Rieder House, a Federation-Housing property located in the heart of Northeast Philadelphia, for a meaningful afternoon filled with food, smiles and mitzvot. Volunteers can enjoy storytelling in celebration of Israel 75, led by Shaare Shamayim’s own Rabbi Sandi Berliner, followed by a craft project with children of the Jewish Community of Rhawnhurst (JCOR). These crafts, in addition to crafts previously made by the students of Paley Early Learning Center, will be delivered to our senior residents along with a challah bread, by our volunteers. Volunteers will also enjoy a kosher pizza lunch in the dining room.

This indoor program is hosted by Federation Housing, Shaare Shamayim, JCOR, and the Northeast Kehillah.
