Food Deliveries

Each month, volunteers from around the community come together to pack and deliver kosher food for individuals and families in Greater Philadelphia struggling with hunger. JRA is unique in that we hand-deliver the food to community members in need, alleviating some of the challenges they may face, such as lack of transportation or access to a grocery store. Volunteers are able to sign up to deliver food by selecting a “delivery route.” A delivery route consists of a few houses within close proximity to one another or an apartment complex. JRA will give you the instructions, the contact info and the items you will need in order to make a successful delivery. Food deliveries take about an hour to complete. Volunteers can come any time within the time window in order to pick up their items. This is an indoor and outdoor volunteer opportunity.
