Advance registration is closed for Community Mitzvah Day. Walk-ins are welcome. See you on Sunday!
Community members are invited to gather in the auditorium of Chester County History Center to learn about The Lone Soldier Center, in memory of Michael Levin (z”l), an Israeli non-profit organization that provides services and support for IDF soldiers who don’t have family in Israel. The organization was founded in 2009 by a group of former lone soldiers, who wanted to address the needs and struggles of the more than 6,300 lone soldiers serving in the IDF.
On Mitzvah Day, we will be making tzedakah boxes, greeting cards, and collecting personal hygiene items. These items will be distributed to current lone soldiers in Israel.
Join us for an hour or stay as long as you’d like. This is a drop in program between the hours of 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
We are also collecting the following toiletries for the Lone Soldier Foundation:
Deodorants
Talcum (Baby) Powder
Disposable Shavers
Tampons
Shampoo
Body Soap
Toothbrushes & Toothpaste
Hand-wash laundry detergent
Hand cream
Neosporin
